OSHA Redesigns Job Safety & Health Poster

OSHA recently released a new version of its Job Safety & Health Poster, which informs workers of their rights under the Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Act of 1970, as part of the agency’s “OSHA CARES” initiative.

About OSHA’s Job Safety and Health Workplace Poster‍ ‍

  • The OSHA Job Safety and Health Workplace Poster tells workers their rights under the Occupational Safety and Health Act.

  • This poster is free from OSHA https://www.osha.gov/publications/poster. Do not pay a third-party vendor for it.

  • Employers do not need to replace previous versions of the poster. It is ok to display an old version of this poster.

  • As per OSHA 29 CFR 1903.2, employers must display the poster in the workplace where workers can easily see it.

  • The poster is available in 16 different languages, including Spanish.

  • It features a phone number – (800) 321-6742 (OSHA) – and a website (osha.gov/workers) that employees can use to contact the agency.

  • If you are in a state with an OSHA-approved state plan, there may be a state version of this poster. Federal government agencies must use the Federal Agency Poster. ‍

The OSHA CARES initiative is designed to modernize and improve communication with workers about their rights and employer responsibilities under the Occupational Safety and Health Act, and emphasizes OSHA’s commitment to ensuring workers return home safe daily. It focuses on proactive safety using resources, compliance assistance, and outreach rather than just enforcement to prevent workplace injuries.‍ ‍

Employers are encouraged to use the new poster to signal their commitment to worker safety, reinforcing that "OSHA Cares" is about protecting the workforce.‍ ‍
